Lamia Bousnina Gallery is a contemporary art and collectible design gallery focused on a diverse program curated to showcase new narratives from the Middle East, North-African and African continent.

At its core, the gallery nurtures the production of limited editions design pieces through a synergic dialogue between international creatives and Tunisian expert craftspeople, to foster new perspectives on heritage techniques preserved across generations.

Besides, the gallery broaden its attention on emerging and established women artists from Africa and the Middle East, showcasing the plurality of expression and narratives in their works.

The gallery’s curatorial emphasis features multifaceted oeuvres to enlighten a distinctive cultural exploration of the contemporary Eastern and African creative scene.

Lamia Bousnina Ben-Ayed

Owner and founder of Lamia Bounisna Gallery, Lamia Bousnina Ben-Ayed is not only an acute contemporary art enthusiast but also a visionary entrepreneur. Her aspirations revolve around fostering meaningful encounters between the East and the West. As an esteemed art and design ambassador, she curates and provides a platform for unconventional pieces by designers worldwide. Additionally, she is the founder of Musk and Amber, a Tunisia-based gallery promoting global artists and designers, with a special emphasis on those from the MENA region. For over a decade, she has been present at major art fairs worldwide (Beirut, Dubai, Paris, Brussels, Abu Dhabi). Lamia’s passion stems from her diverse experiences in Tunisia, Switzerland, France, and Saudi Arabia. Holding a master’s degree in Political Science and International Affairs. Lamia then embarked on a meaningful career journey, joining the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Riyadh. Additionally, she is member of the cultural board in the Takreem Foundation.
